Next Business Workshop: April 25th and 26th ONLINE
Plans have changed!
Photographers, you have time on your hands, and some of you will use this time to make your business better. I want to help! Don’t come out on the other side of quarantine doing what you’ve always done, facing the same struggles and headaches you’ve always faced. This year can be different. This year is full of opportunities.
The April business workshop cannot be held in-person as planned, but I’ve transitioned it to an online format and made it more accessible than ever. And it’s going to be awesome. Same teacher, same passion, same curriculum, and even more opportunity for growth in your photography business. At a lower price. And you don’t even have to change out of your pajamas.
When the world is healthy again, you can have new systems in place to save time and earn more money doing what you love!
UPDATE: Due to Stay-Home Orders and Social Distancing, this workshop will now be held ONLINE, split into TWO five-hour days, and the price has been reduced by $200 for active seats and reduced by $400 for observer seats.

In this workshop, Julie Griffin will share the ins and outs of what she has learned in a fast six years as a professional photographer; going from almost burning out charging $60 for a one-hour session (oy!), to breaking even on gear expenses a year-and-a-half later, to finally making more than minimum wage, to becoming a local favorite in the Phoenix area for family and child portraiture.
Learn Julie's system for running a Family/Portrait Photography Business, dive into some business musts, gain the confidence to charge what you're worth, and think outside the box to find your people and make happy clients. Attendees should be familiar with their cameras prior to workshop day as this workshop will not teach camera basics (click here for other education opportunities).
Full Workshop students will also have the benefit of one-month of follow-up mentoring with Julie, as they make changes to their businesses!
Fun fact: Julie actually dropped out of Photography 101 in college, while she was pursuing a degree in Media Production and graphic design. From there, she started a career in marketing communications and production that preceded her time as a Gilbert resident, wife and mom; and eventually, a photographer. There's not one right or wrong way to get your photography business going, but ohhhh the things she wishes she had known when she started in this industry!
