Our family has used Julie as our photographer for many years. I have known Julie for nearly two decades and must say photography suits her well. As a wife and a mother herself, I feel as if Julie understands the memories and moments a mother would desire to have photographed and never fails to capture those moments with her exquisite talent. Julie has photographed my children at infancy through toddlerhood, as well as large family shoots including our crazy dog.
Julie has such grace and comfort during a photo shoot. Each time I have shown up apologizing for my children's likely uncooperative behavior before her camera is even removed from the bag, and she always puts me at ease. She allows my children to be who they are, and with her patient and loving nature captures their sweet personalities just perfectly. Julie knows how to be silly enough to make a child smile yet she is calm and confident enough to handle a large group, including a number of adults. I first met Julie in high school, and she has been our beloved family photographer since my second pregnancy. She is more than accommodating when it comes to scheduling, even getting up at the crack of dawn to ensure her subjects have the best light available. She took the time to research certain set ups for our twin newborn shoot well ahead of time.

If you are looking to capture life's moments with your family and want a photographer who is patient, creative and so incredibly kind you have come to the right place. Julie started taking our family photos three years ago and we could not be happier. We first started using her when we were pregnant with our first child and she has now photographed our family almost ten times since. Julie does a great job of offering various types of shooting options from short to long session. We've had the opportunity to do both the "in-home" sessions and Flagstaff options and couldn't be happier with the results. She has captured some our favorite photos during the longer more intimate sessions in which our kids were more comfortable and were able to relax and enjoy the moments. We continue to use Julie because of how incredibly patient she is with young children and she is willing to work hard to get the best shots.
One of the best decisions we made from the beginning was to letting Julie show us in-person all the print options she has available. We really enjoy the coffee table books and we have one from every session we've done with Julie. Good photography is an investment and we wanted to ensure we didn't just get digital files and never look at them again. Which is why the coffee table books are a great option, so others are able to enjoy the photos as much as we do.
